What is OTT?

OTT stands for ‘Over-The-Top’.

Great, but what does that mean?

To put it simply, OTT devices are internet based streaming devices. Over-The-Top content is any content, video, or audio, that is transmitted via the internet, rather than through cable or satellite.

So why do I keep hearing about it?

Well, that’s because OTT is completely taking over. According to Business Insider, “The TV business is having it’s worst year ever.” Think about it. As a society, we take in most of our content through the internet. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc. We pay a subscription fee for the content we WANT, instead of paying cable companies bundles of cash, while we only really watch maybe three or four channels. These OTT apps give us so much more control over how we watch. We can watch all of our shows, movies, and sports, from anywhere as long as we have an internet connection. We watch what we want, when we want, how we want.

OTT is absolutely the future, which is why so many content creators are moving their content to apps, and you can too! Charge a monthly subscription, or maybe play some ads. Its all up to you. YOU publish YOUR content to YOUR apps. No more signing your creation over to some network.

With OTT and SABRTV, it’s your world.

You Create. We Deliver.
